Associate
Matt contributes to a wide range of client services at Venture — from policy research and communications strategy to tracking legislative and regulatory developments in healthcare and beyond. With a background in constituent engagement and political communications, he supports our team by monitoring Congressional hearings, agency activity, and other D.C. events to ensure our clients stay informed and strategically positioned.
Matt previously served as a Founding Member of the University of Alabama System’s Capitol Scholars Program, a merit-based internship initiative that placed top students in key D.C. offices. There, he worked alongside senior Hill staff, focusing on healthcare policy, communications, and constituent services.
At the University of Alabama, Matt was selected for several of the institution’s most competitive leadership and service organizations, including Capstone Men and Women and the Blue Key Honor Society, where he served as President. He also held executive roles within the Student Government Association and was recognized by the National Alumni Association as one of the university’s top ten Outstanding Seniors. As a Founding Fellow of the Shelby Institute for Policy and Leadership, Matt pursued advanced public policy research while honing his skills in civic leadership and applied governance.
Matt graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama Honors College with a degree in Political Science and minors in Philosophy and English.
