Senior Director
Will serves as a vital source of real-time policy intelligence for VENTURE’s clients, delivering timely updates from the House, Senate, and administration across a wide range of issue areas. As the firm’s first line of defense in tracking federal activity, Will distills fast-moving legislative developments into actionable insights, helping clients stay ahead of key debates, hearings, agency announcements, and congressional movement. His command of both federal and state policy, combined with his sharp analytical skills, makes him an indispensable part of the VENTURE team’s daily operations and legislative leadership.
Before joining VENTURE, Will served as Policy Advisor for Economic Development to Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, where he developed and executed the Governor’s legislative agenda on issues including taxes, housing, and insurance. He regularly briefed the Governor during legislative sessions, monitored over 400 bills, and helped evaluate and implement those signed into law. He also coordinated high-level events such as bill signings and stakeholder engagements.
Previously, Will spent nearly five years in the office of U.S. Senator Richard Shelby, serving as a Legislative Assistant and managing policy areas such as energy, environment, trade, and telecommunications. He played a key role in the appropriations process, advancing major funding priorities for Alabama and advising the Senator on high-impact legislation. Earlier roles in the office included legislative correspondence and managing the Senator’s 44-year archival project.
With experience spanning state government, federal policy, and appropriations strategy, Will brings a clear, informed, and client-driven perspective to his work at VENTURE.
Will holds a degree in Global Politics and Global History from Washington & Lee University.
