Claudia provides comprehensive policy research, issue monitoring, and assistance with legislative advocacy covering Congress, the White House, and federal agencies. She specializes in energy and environmental policy analysis, having previously worked at a trade association representing the refining and petrochemical industry, covering on a wide array of federal and state environmental regulations and litigation.

 

Claudia brings over four years of experience working on federal and state energy and environmental issues. Prior to joining Venture, Claudia worked at American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers on a wide range of legal and regulatory policy, covering rulemakings from the Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Transportation, Department of Justice, Department of Labor, and various state agencies. She has conducted research for litigation and advocacy on EPA’s Renewable Fuel Standard, state Low Carbon Fuel Standard programs, NHTSA fuel economy standards, California’s Advanced Clean Cars rules, and other issues affecting the refining and petrochemical industries. She has also managed projects on environmental enforcement at refineries and petrochemical facilities, specifically enforcement of the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA, and CERCLA. Claudia also brings considerable experience in PAC management, communications, and fundraising.

 

Claudia began her career as an intern for the Heritage Foundation working in the Meese Center for Legal & Judicial studies, where she researched and wrote on administrative reform, the Congressional Review Act, occupational licensing, intellectual property, and other issues of constitutional and criminal law.

 

Claudia received her B.A. in History and a Certificate in Holocaust Studies from the University of  Florida. She resides in Washington, D.C. and is a passionate skier, cyclist, and Gator football fan.
