Hayley supports a variety of research endeavors — from tracking legislative activity and regulatory developments, to investigating federal funding opportunities and tax credits. Using experience in both data-collection and coding as well as political messaging, she covers Congressional hearings, agency webinars, and press events to ensure that VENTURE provides its clients with the best counsel.
Hayley worked in the 2022 City Council election for Los Angeles' 5th District. In her position, she developed a communications strategy to advertise her candidate's policy positions to voters. With a focus on demonstrating that the candidate’s solutions were the most effective for addressing the district's most pressing issues, she developed strategies for advertising a wide range of policy issues — including residential zoning codes and regulations that impeded the construction of affordable housing. Hayley’s work in the election not only gave her with insight on how to handle unique policy debates on hot-button issues, but also provided her with an informed understanding of the campaign cycle and fundraising within electoral politics.
Hayley's also worked for the WomanStats Project, where she collected and coded data — then evaluated the project's database to identify minimal or aging data and tailored her research to fill such vacancies and efficiently update the database. The information she collected included qualitative and quantitative data to determine various parameters about the populations of different countries, allowing for a comparative analysis of the relationship between a state's socio-economic characteristics and its political stability.
Hayley is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she majored in Political Science, with a concentration in International Relations.
